Ex-Pat Mortgages

Getting a mortgage as an Expat can be more complex than applying for a standard mortgage as a UK resident, income earner and taxpayer. Many High Street lenders simply do not offer Expat Mortgages, or have very strict lending criteria due to the increased risk of salary in a foreign currency or lack of UK credit history.

Helping you make your investment a success

Whilst obtaining a mortgage as an Expat can be difficult, it’s not impossible. Every lender will have different criteria and assess you differently, if one lender declines you it doesn’t mean everyone will.  Many mainstream lenders will be less flexible when it comes to assessing Expats but there are smaller, more specialist lenders who will take a more holistic approach and who understand Expats.

At Lucra we have helped Expats buy both residential and investment properties.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
